Liberty Central is ‘America’s Public Square’ for concerned citizens of all backgrounds, affiliations and circumstances to stand-up and take action. Throughout history, everyday citizens have joined the front lines to defend our great nation. It’s your turn to make a difference. Americans must elect to be self-governed, as enabled by our U.S. Constitution, or we can choose to be ruled by a big government elite in Washington.

Action versus complacency – the decision is yours. Take the Pledge to Activism today.

HELP US WRITE OUR OWN PLEDGE!

We need someone to help us write a pledge that applies to fighting the stupidity of ‘people pleasing vs. being GOD PLEASERS’!
As usual the devil has targeted Dallas—1st roe v wade, then the Priest/Bishop scandal, and now we have a handful of ‘faux Catholic’s’ dressed like community organizers using the oldest tricks in the book to burrow into a group and destroy by dividing and planting falsehoods. Please, Texas Catholics, RISE UP AND REMEMBER WE ARE FIGHTING the devil who is operating in anyone that is deceitful, lying, destroying—Jesus said the devil is the father of lies–who came to steal, kill, and destroy!

Jesus gave us authority—learn how to go to battle—Fr. Corapi said we need to know our enemies weapons…well in Dallas, it is staying in some clique where the Leadership will smile at us…

The purpose of this [article] is to fight the encroachment of the Industrial Areas Foundation (in the form of the Oklahoma Sponsoring Committee) into the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and throughout the United States and the World. We believe their goals (and those of all Alinskyian community organizers) are antithetical to the teachings of the Catholic Church, and that their actions will in the long run harm the very people that the IAF purports to help.

AND IT DOESN’T STOP THERE!

In a nutshell, Community Organizing is a method for people to join together to gain power for the attainment of mutual goals in their neighborhood, city, etc. This sounds like a wonderful idea. Unfortunately, most community organizers hold to a political ideology that is considerably “left of center.” Some unfortunately define “social justice” as those who own Hummers or Cadillacs and live in nice homes as NOT tithing generously enough and therefore not being good Catholics. They mistakenly judge others, and forget the true reason Jesus came to earth—to save us from our sins—not to fill our bellies. Of course we are required as Christians to give what we can, in our time, talent and treasure, to help others. How we give, or how much we give, has always been and should always be, between us and God. If we sin, it is our personal sin. If, as many would require, we are forced through “redistribution of income” to share a greater portion of our goods, then we would be robbed of our gift-giving ability.

The failure of our leaders to uphold laws of commonsense and respect, freedom and democracy have led to the decline of our nation in many ways. We feel that the American leaders of the Catholic Church (bishops, cardinals, and priests) have been assaulted (and in some cases co-opted) by politicians and secularists, and have compromised on many issues that have negatively affected our Church and our Country. When Catholic institutions, or politicians who claim to be Catholic, openly embrace positions contrary to the Church’s teachings millions are left confused as to what the truth is. The Catholic Church must hold to the Truth. The Truth must be found and told. We will strive to attain the Truth to our dying breath. We will be supportive of our Church and Her hierarchy, and we will pray for Her, for God’s guidance to those on both sides of this issue, and for our country. Please join us in prayer and in taking a stand on this issue.

What other events and ideals that are contrary to the Church have been promoted under the disguise of SOCIAL JUSTICE?

UPDATE: “We report with heavy hearts that the Leadership in THE LORD’S HOLY CHURCH bowed to pressure which was not coming from the Vatican and allowed these speakers to teach either the unsuspecting or the rebellious. Jesus said that if we loved Him we would keep His Commandments—and that we were able to know people by their fruit. What destruction has been caused by the obvious rebelliousness of our Leaders?
Please tape record every homily and scour the bulletin for traces of the Marxist Sal Alinksky infiltration which means to destroy the Church in America. A person cannot catch wellness like a person can catch a cold from another person—the reason the grocer goes through and throws away a rotting apple is because it can ruin the WHOLE bushel!

On April 7th, the National Catholic Education Association is having a pro-abortion, pro-”gay-marriage” speaker deliver the keynote address.

Yes, you read that correctly!

(directly from LifeSiteNews.com’s article)

“The National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) has invited Garrison Keillor, a pro-abortion, pro-gay “marriage” Episcopalian, as a keynote speaker at the group’s annual convention. Keillor, well-known as a humorist and host of A Prairie Home Companion, has repeatedly published his pro-abortion, pro-same-sex “marriage” views – and has labeled pro-life, pro-family, and anti-pornography activists “shrieking ninnies and pompous blowhards.”

On the issue of abortion, Keillor has been quoted as saying it should be decided “case by case,” and that disabled embryonic children should be destroyed.

“The use of abortion as birth control is one thing, the use of it to end pregnancy caused by incest or rape is another, and then there is the decision to destroy an embryo that shows signs of debilitating disease or severe retardation,” said Keillor in an interview with Nathan Callahan in 2004.

“In the end, it goes against common sense to require a mother to bear a child she does not want, just as you can’t force husband and wife to stay together.”

Keillor also decried “the so-called cultural wars over abortion and prayer in the schools and pornography and gays,” most of which he said was “instigated by shrieking ninnies and pompous blowhards” who “did nothing about anything, except elect dullards to office who brought a certain nihilistic approach to governance.”

On same-sex “marriage,” in a January column for the Salt Lake Tribune, Keillor said, “I believe that if voters actually knew gay couples, they would not vote to ban gay marriage. This particular cruelty is the result of social separation, which breeds contempt.”

Keillor is slated to address the NCEA at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 7. The NCEA did not return LifeSiteNews.com’s request for comment as of press time.

In 2001, the dioceses of Pittsburgh, Penn. and Peoria, Ill. boycotted the NCEA for granting a speaking opportunity to Sr. Joan Chittiser, a Benedictine nun who famously dissents from Catholic teaching on homosexuality and female ordination.”

That’s who he is, but THIS is how the NCEA announced his participation at this conference:

Garrison Keillor, host of the long-running radio show A Prairie Home Companion, will talk at the 2010 NCEA convention on Wednesday, April 7 at 9 a.m. Keillor is known for the coupling of his shy, introspective persona with a sharp wit and keen sense of humor. His small-town wisdom and warm observations of everyday life have endeared him to millions in the US and around the world.

Keillor is best known for his storytelling, and his weekly yarns about the fictional town of Lake Wobegone have been collected into several recordings. He has also written books set in the town, the most recent being Wobegone Romance. Keillor has put out a gospel album with the Hopeful Gospel Quartet and starred in a major motion picture, 2004’s A Prairie Home Companion. He is an internationally known speaker and a contributor to The New Yorker, the New York Times and The Atlantic Magazine.

Dear Followers of Christ,

We need to be totally honest with ourselves and with each other because the stakes are too high to be silent another minute!

Just what is the goal of the USCCB? What is the goal of inviting a speaker who believes contraception is okay? Please go to www.RealCatholicTV.com and watch the incredible YouTube video exposing the HUGE scandal within the United States Council of Catholic Bishops.

Keep in mind tha the USCCB is not a council or synod of the Church. It is purely an advisory body that has no authority over any bishop nor does it have authority over the flock any bishop oversees, except as the bishop permits it.

For those of you who visited the site last week, here’s an update:

We had several minor victories from the Sr. Rupp visit to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. The system which allows this corruption and disobedience is now exposed. Transparency is a beautiful thing which must be why confessing our sins to a faithful priest bring such supernatural healing. Several women cancelled their appointments with a false teacher!

PRAISED BE JESUS, NOW AND FOREVER!!!

Currently, we are suffering another attack! The next evet will be with “Dr. G.” This is pure spiritual warfare in the Dallas area, especially within the Dallas Diocese of the Catholic Church. How many heretics have been invited into the Collin County Catholic parishes in the last decade?

We must define the evil so we know how to fight back. One of the enemy’s favorite weapons is his “speakiness.” He is the father of lies. Wherever there is deceoption, discouragement, doubt in God’s Word, and frustrating delay, count on the great deluder to be the cause. Jesus warned us not to be deceived! We are to be on guard because we have an enemy who prowls about the earth seeking the ruin of souls.

In Ephesians 6, we are told to put on the whole armor of God. Our weapons are not the weapons of modern warfare. We fight with our spiritual armor – the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God; the belt of Truth; the helmet of Salvation; the shoes of the Gospel of Peace; the breastplate of righteousness; and the integrity of the Shield of Faith, which stops the flaming darts from harming us.

Surely the Lord expects us to speak up against the dictates of “social justice,” the politically correct distortion of the true social justice that flows from the Sacraments. We must fight the false human definition of “social justice” rather than let it continue to push us into moral relativism. Compromising with politicians, as so many are willing to do in today’s healthcare debate, while sacrficing adherence to the Word of God, costs us more lives of the innocent, and it costs us our collective Catholic integrity. Is permiiting a false teacher to teach in the diocese simply because that person’s own bishop permits the speaker really the way to take care of your own flock? We hope and pray that the members of the USCCB will be God pleasers, not Man pleasers. Pope John Paul II told us to be not afraid, and his example of confronting the communists in Poland is an inspiration for us to have the courage to speak up in Dallas!

With love and gratitude to our Heavenly Father for calling us into the Catholic Church, and with prayers and sacrifices for all the faithful bishops, priests, and religious who continue to serve our Lord in humility and strength, especially Father Paul,

In Christ, Jim and Vicki Middleton

Mother Teresa has been such a blessing and an inspiration to us all, so here are some wonderful quotes from her!

Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.

Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat.

Do not think that love, in order to be genuine, has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired.

Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person.

Each one of them is Jesus in disguise.

Even the rich are hungry for love, for being cared for, for being wanted, for having someone to call their own.

Everytime you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.

God doesn’t require us to succeed; he only requires that you try.

Good works are links that form a chain of love.

I am a little pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the world.

I do not pray for success, I ask for faithfulness.

I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.

I know God will not give me anything I can’t handle. I just wish that He didn’t trust me so much.

I try to give to the poor people for love what the rich could get for money. No, I wouldn’t touch a leper for a thousand pounds; yet I willingly cure him for the love of God.

I want you to be concerned about your next door neighbor. Do you know your next door neighbor?

If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.

If we want a love message to be heard, it has got to be sent out. To keep a lamp burning, we have to keep putting oil in it.

If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.

If you judge people, you have no time to love them.

In this life we cannot do great things. We can only do small things with great love.

Intense love does not measure, it just gives.

It is a kingly act to assist the fallen.

It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish.

It is impossible to walk rapidly and be unhappy.

It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters.

Jesus said love one another. He didn’t say love the whole world.

Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls.

Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.

Let us always meet each other with a smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.

Let us more and more insist on raising funds of love, of kindness, of understanding, of peace. Money will come if we seek first the Kingdom of God – the rest will be given.

Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got, but they need your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go.

Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to do the humble work.

Loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted is the most terrible poverty.

Loneliness is the most terrible poverty.

Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do… but how much love we put in that action.

Love begins by taking care of the closest ones – the ones at home.

Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand.

Many people mistake our work for our vocation. Our vocation is the love of Jesus.

One of the greatest diseases is to be nobody to anybody.

Our life of poverty is as necessary as the work itself. Only in heaven will we see how much we owe to the poor for helping us to love God better because of them.

Peace begins with a smile.

Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.

Sweetest Lord, make me appreciative of the dignity of my high vocation, and its many responsibilities. Never permit me to disgrace it by giving way to coldness, unkindness, or impatience.

The biggest disease today is not leprosy or tuberculosis, but rather the feeling of being unwanted.

The greatest destroyer of peace is abortion because if a mother can kill her own child, what is left for me to kill you and you to kill me? There is nothing between.

The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread.

The miracle is not that we do this work, but that we are happy to do it.

The success of love is in the loving – it is not in the result of loving. Of course it is natural in love to want the best for the other person, but whether it turns out that way or not does not determine the value of what we have done.

There are no great things, only small things with great love. Happy are those.

There is always the danger that we may just do the work for the sake of the work. This is where the respect and the love and the devotion come in – that we do it to God, to Christ, and that’s why we try to do it as beautifully as possible.

There is more hunger in the world for love and appreciation in this world than for bread.

There must be a reason why some people can afford to live well. They must have worked for it. I only feel angry when I see waste. When I see people throwing away things that we could use.

We are all pencils in the hand of God.

We can do no great things, only small things with great love.

We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence… We need silence to be able to touch souls.

We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.

We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do.

We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty.

We, the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, for so long, with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing.

Words which do not give the light of Christ increase the darkness.

Dear Visitors,

Thank you for taking the time to come to our site!

The purpose of WouldJesusAttend.com is very simple. Faith without works is dead. Faith is what we do not see; it is what we hope for. We see the goal with our Spiritual eyes. One of the greatest blessings of the Catholic Church is the knowledge that the Church has over 2,000 years of established Commandments and Rules. It is each individual’s decision whether or not to join the Church. In Numbers 23:19, God said He was not a man; that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change his mind. Does He speak and not act? Does He promise and not fulfill? So, I take that to the bank all day long. Then Jesus tells us that we need to be on our guard because we have an enemy. Who is the enemy? He is the great deluder, deceiver, father of lies. He goes about like a roaring lion, and he came to kill, steal, and destroy.

When each of us dies, we will be remembered for two things: the problems we caused or the problems we solved! I strongly desire to live as Paul said, forgetting the former things and reaching toward the high calling of serving Jesus Christ. In order to serve the Most Wonderful Living God and Ruler of the Universe, I need to practice integrity—which means my thoughts, words, and actions need to be congruent. Truly, it is a full time job to practice being a good witness for Jesus, yet that is my goal, and when I goof up—the Church provides the solution in the form of Confession and Reconciliation. Nobody is perfect except for Jesus.

So, in closing, I have called the Dallas Diocese, spoken with Annette Gonzales, the Director of Communications, and extended an invitation to Bishop Farrell to be on our Saturday Radio show on KSKY anytime he desires. I called the Des Moines, Iowa Diocese twice and spoke once to a friend of Sister Rupp’s, also invited her to be on the radio, then spoke with Ms. Cox , Director of the Des Moines Diocese Communications Department. I explained that the Dallas Diocese approved of Sr. Rupp’s teaching Catholic women in Plano because Bishop Richard Pates, Bishop of Des Moines, had no problem with Sister’s teaching, and she was not on a list of banned speakers from our USCCB. (Please visit ) Also, I contacted each of the 5 host churches and left messages with various people in charge of the ministry that covers Sr. Rupp’s teaching session and invited them to be on our radio show. Not one of the 5 church representatives called me back. Very interesting, when you consider the value of free air time to advertise or promote Sr. Rupp’s web site and her many books which are for purchase. Another life changing ethical proverb that is smarter than smart which I wish I had always lived by, but did not is this, ‘DO NOT DO ANYTHING I DO NOT WANT ON THE FRONT PAGE OF THE NEWSPAPER.’ (charactercounts.org)

In closing, this battle for the Christ centered hearts and minds of the women who would be attending St. Elizabeth Ann Seton’s retreat are in jeopardy. Please go to the web site of a former new age woman who is dedicating her life to exposing the lies of teaching that is not centered on Jesus (newagedeception.com).

Really, the Lord has made it easy for us. Jesus left us with His Word and how important is His Word? One of His Divine Names is The Word.

Finally, the Secret Service studies real money only, then when they see or feel counterfeit money they know immediately. When you know the TRUTH – which is JESUS – it is natural to have righteous anger when lies are taught as truth. God gave us Shepherds to protect us from deceivers and make sure the spiritual food we eat is good for our eternal souls.

With a heart full of gratitude for HIS love,

Vicki Middleton

(taken from Larry Roach’s article)

Dr. Richard Gaillardetz will speak at St. Mark in Plano on March 7th – 10th, 2010. The first session is after Mass, and all sessions are in the sanctuary.

It seems that Dr. Gaillardetz has some problems with Church doctrine. For one, he states that couples should ‘follow their own conscience’ regarding infallibe Church dogma on the use of contraception. He actually feels you should try, like really, really hard to follow that doctrine, but if it’s just tooo danged hard, you can follow your own conscience. Apparently, around 95% of Catholic married couples find it too danged hard…….I’m sure after a terrible amount of internal conflict and turmoil. I’m sure they would never use justifications from such theologians as Dr. Gaillardetz to help rationalize their opposition to God’s Perfect Will! And neither would any pastors at certain parishes!

Dr. Gaillardetz has some pretty……..interesting…………ideas regarding infallible dogmas and how they are arrived at. The Church has stated, infallibly!, that it is properly constituted Church councils, the Pope, and the long-held views of the Magisterium that constitute infallible dogma. Not so with Dr. Gaillardetz! Oh no, for him, it’s the theologians who constitute the Magisterium, and who decide what doctrine is infallible. Isn’t that convenient?!? How nice for him! He has written books on the subject, and he sides with such well known dissenters as Dr. Hans Kung for support in claiming that no doctrine arrived at by humans can be infallible. Guess we better scrap that Credo!

Once again, I guess I, and those who think I might have a point regarding all these dissenting speakers coming to the diocese, have to go back to the pastors and the diocese and make our concerns known. But, since I know some of the pastors involved read this blog, let me ask a semi-rhetorical question, again. Is this really, REALLY, the best we can do? While much foot dragging goes on to bring in an orthodox speaker, it seems the dissenters just breeze right in without a problem. This makes me wonder about alot of things, like inherent biases and things like that.

READ THIS AMAZING ARTICLE CONTAINING ALL HIS BELIEFS AND WRITINGS!

You know what to do. The only way to affect change is to let the staff at the parish and diocese know that this kind of speaker isn’t acceptable.

(taken from Larry Roach’s article)

A ‘women’s retreat’ is being held Feb. 20th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish in Plano. The retreat is being given by Sr. Joyce Rupp. Based on prior knowledge of these retreats, it will essentially consist of Sr. Rupp lecturing a number of women for the better part of a day.

The retreat is sponsored by five north Dallas area parishes:

St. Mark in Plano

St. Elizabeth in Plano

St. Joseph in Richardson

Our Lady of Angels in Allen

Prince of Peace in Plano

Why is this a problem? Why would I care that a female roman catholic religious is speaking at a catholic parish in Plano? Well, unfortunately, there are many religious, male and female, whose communion with the Church, whose thoughts and practices being in accord with Church teaching, is doubtful at best. Sr. Donna Quinn of the Sinsinawa Dominicans in Chicago is one.

http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2009/oct/09102302.html

http://wdtprs.com/blog/2009/12/dominican-sister-associates-bv-mary-with-pro-choice-position-no-really/

Another is Sr. Joan Chittister. There is strong evidence that Sr. Rupp, while not as at odds with core Church doctrine as Sr.’s Chittister and Quinn (and Fr. Reese, and Fr. Drinan), is at best a pretty poor choice for a Catholic speaker in the Dallas Diocese, and at worst poses a grave threat to the souls of all those who attend this ‘retreat.’

On her own website, Sr. Rupp makes plain that she is very friendly with New Age beliefs. She constantly refers to God in the feminine with the name of ‘Sophia,’ ostensibly a ‘goddess of wisdom,’ she incorporates eastern religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism into much of her ‘theology,’ and she gives strong hints that she has been involved in, or is involved in, active homosexual relationships. The Church counsels that New Age practices, such as astrology, power crystals, dreamcatchers, and the like, pose a mortal threat to one’s soul. New Age beliefs are fundamentally self-centered, drawing on supposed mystical powers of the universe to make one have improved self-esteem, or to gain insight into the future, or to understand and contact those in ‘other dimensions.’ Much New Age belief is strongly associated with the work of Carl Jung, an Austrian psychologist who was a strong proponent of the interpretation of dreams, while at the same time a vociferous opponent of the Church. Sr. Rupp has a master’s degree in Jungian psychology, in addition to a degree from the ‘leading center of New Age’ study.
